Solar Panels for CHS
Solar Panels for CHS
The Solar Panels for CHS project is a student led initiative to install photovoltaic panels on Corvallis High School. Students, staff, and local solar businesses have set an overall goal to install a 100kW system, enough to supply the school with 1/3 of its current electrical needs.
The panels will reduce the school’s utility bills, cut it’s carbon footprint, and educate students and the community about renewable energy.
We intend to complete the project in increments of 10kW systems each year. We plan to start with the first installation in 2010. The $20,000 Walmart Grant will go towards the $70,000 we need for the first 10 kW.
If you would like to donate to the project, you may do so through the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation and specify it is for CHS Solar Panels.
